Types of Pruning Services Available
Crown Reduction
Used to reduce the overall size of a tree's upper portion that contains its branches, leaves, and growing tips. It involves selectively removing branches from the outer edges of the tree while leaving the inner branches intact, which helps to maintain the tree's natural shape and structure.
The primary goal of crown reduction is to reduce the overall size of the tree while preserving its health and structural integrity. This technique is often used on trees that have outgrown their space or are growing too close to buildings, or other infrastructure. Crown reduction can also be used to improve the tree's appearance and to promote better air circulation and sunlight penetration.
Crown Thinning
Used to selectively remove branches from a tree's crown, typically the smaller or weaker branches, to reduce the density of the tree's canopy. Crown thinning involves selectively removing branches throughout the tree's crown rather than just from the outer edges, as with crown reduction.
The goal of crown thinning is to improve the tree's health and structure, as well as to allow more light and air to penetrate the tree's canopy.
Crown Lifting
Used to raise the lower branches of a tree, typically to create clearance beneath the tree for pedestrians, vehicles, or other objects. Crown lifting involves removing the lowest branches of the tree while leaving the upper branches intact.
The goal of crown lifting is to maintain the natural shape and structure of the tree while also improving its function in its surrounding environment.
Deadwood Removal
Is important for maintaining the health and safety of trees. Deadwood can serve as a habitat for pests and diseases, and it can also create a safety hazard by falling onto people or property.
Removing deadwood can help to prevent further damage to the tree, promote healthy growth, and reduce the risk of accidents.
